Cambridge IELTS 15 Academic was first published in 2020 and contains four practice tests. Older books can still provide useful question-type and timing practice, especially when you have already used newer material.
The Cambridge IELTS 15 Academic front matter gives the edition details. Check the format and access included with the copy you own, since product versions can vary.
Use older practice without confusing it with current test guidance
Choose a paper for a clear purpose: build stamina, practise a question type, or review a strategy. Follow its instructions and timing, and note whether you have seen the test before. Since remembered answers can inflate a result, treat a familiar paper as practice rather than a clean baseline.
Test delivery details and provider instructions can change. Use an older practice book to work on skills, and confirm current exam-day rules and format with IELTS and your test provider.
Review answers and choose what to practise next
When an answer is wrong, return to the source. In Reading, point to the words that support the complete answer. In Listening, replay the relevant audio and find what confirms the final response. In Writing, compare your response with each part of the task. In Speaking, practise giving a reason or example rather than stopping at a short claim.
Keep a note of the cause and one next drill. Then try that skill on unfamiliar questions before using another full paper. Comparing scores across different books can be useful as a broad signal, but they are not perfectly equivalent measures.
Practise Cambridge IELTS 15 Academic in IELTS Ai Pro
Check the modules currently available in the Cambridge test area; a matching in-app module does not mean the full print book is reproduced online. Practise a skill directly in Reading, Listening, Writing, or Speaking.
